Subida à montanha do Pico
Challenge yourself to conquer the highest mountain in Portugal, the third highest in the Atlantic, and feel the grandeur of nature with every step. Accept the challenge and discover the magic of Pico!
The trail is approximately 3.8 km long, and I know—it seems short, doesn’t it? Well, that’s the catch! It’s not quite like that!
Now, we need to add another 3.8 km for the descent, making a total of 7.6 km.
"But Ricardo! 7.6 km is easy! I do that regularly when walking around the city!"
Well, let’s just say that the steep incline combined with the rough terrain will make these 7.6 km feel like three or four times the distance. After all, this is an activity that takes around 8 hours.
Good news! It’s not an impossible challenge. With the support of an experienced guide, this activity becomes much easier. Every year, thousands of people make it to the top, creating wonderful moments and unforgettable memories.
Consider your physical condition before embarking on this adventure, as it will be essential for completing the hike. In the mountains, assessing your abilities, stopping, and deciding to turn back is a great sign of courage and self-awareness. Follow the guide’s instructions, and everything will go smoothly.
